A very lovely Swedish flatweave, woven in wool on cotton warp. It is signed 'SH', possibly Svensk Hemslöjd which is an association that was founded in 1899 by the home crafts movement's founder, Lilli Zickerman, with the aim of running a shop in central Stockholm that sells arts and crafts and handicrafts of the highest quality.
It has a pretty colour palette of pinks, soft browns, creams and a hint of lilac. This would look pretty in a bedroom or dressing room.
This has been professionally cleaned. There are minor stains and a minor tear on one underside of the short side. There are stains on the reverse side of the rug.
